The wait is finally over, UK Lumia fans. If the Lumia 800 with its 3.7-inch screen wasn’t quite big enough for you, the 4.3-inch  Lumia 900  is now available for you to purchase. Phones4u has an exclusive on the phone until May 27th, and will be offering both black and white versions. Not only that, but the Lumia 900 will reportedly come with the latest version of  Windows Phone which includes some Tango features.

If you’ve been noticing that your Nokia Lumia 900 has been showing gray colors as purple when your device is on a low brightness setting, don’t worry because Nokia has been informed of the problem and it seems like they know the solution. According to a report, a suggested reason as to why the existence of the purple hue comes about is due to the calibration of the AMOLED screen. After receiving a tweet from a user highlighting the problem, Nokia Care US replied that the company has acknowledged the issue, identified the problem and that it is fixable with a software update.

By Introducing the Lumia 900, Nokia is effectively bringing a larger, 4G LTE, version of their Lumia 800 to the market.  It has just about all the qualities of its predecessor, but the larger size changes the user experience slightly, and the battery life seems to be better out of the box. The Nokia Lumia 900 builds on the new industrial introduced by the Nokia N9 which uses a single bloc of polycarbonate that effectively becomes a cradle for the rest of the phone. This makes it extremely resistant to shocks, while giving it a soft texture. The question is: are you ready to try Windows Phone?

The good: The Nokia Lumia 900's eye-popping unibody design sets a new direction for smartphone style. Its LTE speeds, vivid 4.3-inch screen, and 8-megapixel camera are high points. The bad: Problems with call quality and minor design flaws like some gaps in the construction and weirdly placed buttons get in the way. The designer camera optics are good, but they don't live up to the hype. The phone shoots 720p video rather than 1080p video. The bottom line: The Nokia Lumia 900's unique design and high-end features make Windows Phone look fantastic, and the $99 price is extremely fair. Despite some flaws, this is my favorite Windows Phone yet.
