Sony Xperia GX officially unveiled with a 13MP camera and Android 4.0

Remember all those leaked photos of a certain Sony LT29i “Hayabusa”? It looks like it’s finally time to put all the rumors and speculation aside as the handset has officially been announced as the Sony Xperia GX. Unfortunately at the moment it appears to be designated for the Japanese market only for now but should be rolling out on an international scale come July if the reports are to be believed.







Featuring a 4.6” HD Reality Display with the Mobile Bravia engine, the Xperia GX will pakc a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor under its hood, 16GB of internal storage, a 1,700mAh battery along with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. It will also sport LTE connectivity which means that either AT&T, Verizon or Sprint will be your best bet if and when the device arrives stateside.
It also appears to have done away with hardware buttons leaving it with a pretty sleek-looking front. It will also pack a 13MP Exmor R camera sensor with “stacked” technology. Supposedly this will provide users with enhanced low-light performance amongst other things. In any case be sure to check back with us at a later date, maybe some time in July for updates on the availability of the Sony Xperia GX stateside.

Samsung Mobile countdown site points to tomorrow reveal, hints at Retina?

Apparently there will be big Samsung news unveiled when the calendar hits April 23. The manufacturer has launched a new teaser site with a countdown timer set to expire in the early morning hours of tomorrow, in US time at least. The site is a seemingly nonsensical tgeltaayehxnx.com, but if you put your anagram skills to the test, you can realize that it actually unscrambles to “The Next Galaxy.”
